Can you think of Thanksgiving dinner sans cranberry sauce? I can’t! I am sure you are in the same boat.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners are not complete without Cranberry Sauce. Sure, it is sour, even has tart taste but that can be balanced with right amount of sweetness. The sweet and sour flavor is what makes it one of my favorite Thanksgiving dinner sides.

I always try to get the fresh ones, but if I can’t find them in the super stores, I use frozen ones. I think they taste just the same when transformed in to this yummy sauce. It is extremely easy and quick to make.

Cranberry Sauce

I use orange juice in my sauce but you can substitute it with water or apple juice. You can also use just white sugar instead of using white and brown sugar.

We also do not like very sweet sauce, so I mostly reduce the quantity. You can even skip cinnamon, or add nutmeg in addition to cinnamon if you like spices in your sauce to make it more flavorful, more festive! Basically, you can make it however you wish to, there are no rules to be broken!

Apple Quick Bread With Spiced Icing

Apples at the market are a sure signal that fall is on it’s way. Gone are the greens, reds, even purple shades of various tomatoes, in come the yellow, green, and red gradients of apples. Apple Bread At first I take pleasure in eating them on their own, enjoying the fresh, crisp natural flavors, but it…

If you think about it, it’s pretty impressive how many different versions of cake exist. The relatively simple batter of flour, milk, eggs, sugar, and butter or oil can come together in so many ways (here are 25 tasty examples!), and the small changes between these types of cake make a big difference in the…

Carrot Oatmeal Cookies with Cranberries and Chocolate Chips

I come from a family of sweet tooth-s; everyone takes “small slivers” of each dessert and there are always plenty of cookies, pies, cakes, and puddings at family gatherings.  My grandpa keeps a stock of sweets like Honey Buns and a full cookie jar.  Since he moved into a new place, I wanted to make…
