Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Can you think of Thanksgiving dinner sans cranberry sauce? I can’t! I am sure you are in the same boat.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners are not complete without Cranberry Sauce. Sure, it is sour, even has tart taste but that can be balanced with right amount of sweetness. The sweet and sour flavor is what makes it one of my favorite Thanksgiving dinner sides.

I always try to get the fresh ones, but if I can’t find them in the super stores, I use frozen ones. I think they taste just the same when transformed in to this yummy sauce. It is extremely easy and quick to make.

Cranberry Sauce

I use orange juice in my sauce but you can substitute it with water or apple juice. You can also use just white sugar instead of using white and brown sugar.

We also do not like very sweet sauce, so I mostly reduce the quantity. You can even skip cinnamon, or add nutmeg in addition to cinnamon if you like spices in your sauce to make it more flavorful, more festive! Basically, you can make it however you wish to, there are no rules to be broken!

Caesar Salad with Steak

Skirt Steak is very yummy. In an effort to kick off 2016 with a high vegetable intake, I’m regularly adding salads to my dinner. It’s one of the ways I’m participating in #JustOneThingJan. I love a good salad, so making this happen hasn’t been much of a challenge; what has really tested me, though, is coming up with…
