Ingredients
CAKE
- 4 cups household flour
- 2 cups castor sugar
- 4 tsps baking powder
- 250 grams stork bake margarine
- 2 tbsps vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 4 tsps essence, 2 vanilla & 2 caramel...very yummy smell
Instructions
- Cream the stork bake margarine and castor sugar together
- Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and add to the mixture whilst mixing well
- Add the essence and continuemixing
- Sieve the flour together with the baking powder
- Now add flour bit by bit and when it's all finished you still have a thick batter, add some bit of water and mix till you get a consistency that easily falls off from your mixing spoon
- Pour in your greased or sprayed baking pan and bake at 180° for close to 40 or so minutes till golden brown
- When a cake tester comes out clean then your cake is done so let it stand on a cooling rack.
Notes
BUTTER
Ingredients;
-500 gms icing sugar
-250 gms wooden spoon margarine
-1 tbsp milk
-1 tsp vanilla essence
-Egg white of 1 egg
-1 tsp cream of tartar Method;
-Cream the margarine together with the icing sugar till light and fluffy
-Add milk and vanilla essence and continue mixing on medium speed
-Separate egg white from yolk and beat it. Add cream of tartar to stiffen it and add to the cream mixture and continue beating till well mixed
-When well mixed, it will be as good as whipped cream because of the egg white (new discovery) and it is now ready for use. Decorate cake as desired...happy baking
