Mutton and Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200gr mutton spare ribs cut into pieces
  • 800 gr mutton pieces
  • Half cabbage chopped
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 med tomatoes chopped
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1 tsp curry powdery
  • 1 tsp dhania jeera powder
  • Half tsp tumeric
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 1 star aniseed
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Half tsp garam masala
  • oil
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 Salt to taste

Instructions

  • In heavy base pot, heat oil. Add in cinnamon stick. When oil sizzles, add star aniseed, cloves, bay leaf and jeera. Fry for 30 seconds.
  • Add onions and fry until golden brown.
    Add ginger garlic and curry leaves.
    Add spices except for garam masala.
    Add meat, salt and cook until half cooked. Oil will surface. Add cabbage and tomatoes. Stir well. Cook on medium heat. Cabbage will have lots of water so do not put in any water.
  • Cook until meat and cabbage is soft. Sprinkle garam masala on top, stir well and cook for 5 minutes on low heat.
    Remove from heat, garnish and enjoy.
