It was a crazy busy day yesterday. My car was due to getting lot of work done. I had been postponing it all summer, but August is almost coming to an end, so I decided to take it to the car garage and get it checked.
They inspected it and within an hour came back with a verdict that at least millions of things are wrong with it, and that it needs a whole day to get it fixed. I had to leave the car in the garage for a few hours.
I’m not sure about you, but I HATE the day you are stuck at a car garage. You stroll out in another store for sometime. Then come back to the waiting area. You read some random not so interesting magazines. You wait and and wait and wait. Then wait some more. The guy fixing your car is the one your life for that day depends on.
As soon as they walk in from the garage, you keep staring at their faces in anticipation of them calling your name next, with your car keys in their hand. But as soon as they call my neighbor’s name in that waiting area, your hope fades until the next time they appear again. Then as soon as they call your name, you feel like a lottery winner. You walk the walk, and thankfully grab the keys, paying off the (huge) bill and driving away.
Basically that was my day yesterday.

But at the end of the day, I was so glad that I decided to get the work done on my car because now it sounds almost like new. Any why not, with a whole lot of things that were wrong with my car and now fixed, that’s what it should feel like anyways.
Besides it was extremely hot and humid day yesterday. Temperatures in high 30s. So it was a perfect day to drink something cold, something refreshing. I decided to make myself this mint lemonade as soon as I reached home.
It is an ultimate thirst quencher to relax when you are out and about on a hot humid summer day.
One nice thing to have vegetable garden in your backyard is to walk into it anytime of the day and pluck whatever vegetables you wish to at that particular moment. Did I tell you, I grow my own vegetables in my backyard? Saves tons of money! And you get to eat fresh.
Mint and lemons are thriving in my backyard vegetable garden. Fresh vegetables taste totally different from the store bought ones. It was a no brainer to make this refreshing drink, with lots of ice. It is very easy to make and takes less then 5 minutes. All you need is lemon juice, mint leaves, sugar, some water and ice.
Even though days are getting shorter, summer is still at it’s highest. So make sure to enjoy your hot humid days with this refreshingly delicious mint lemonade.
