These succulent pulled pork crockpot recipes are easy. Once you have tried pulled pork in the crock pot, you may not be so all-fired ready to drag out the smoker and ready it for the long journey ahead. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of smoking meat. I have one and I use it often. But sometimes we just don’t have the time to smoke the pork for 12 to 14 hours.
There is really no great effort needed or detailed preparation in these pulled pork crockpot recipes. All you need do is rub on the dry marinade and employ the crock pot for about 8 or 9 hours and viola! When the pork is cooked in the slow cooker, you don’t actually get the smoke rings or the wood smoked flavor of a smoker. But, I’ll tell you, it’s a pretty darn tasty alternative. If you feel you need the smokey flavor, you can add a very little amount of liquid smoke and rub it into the meat prior to massaging it with the dry rub. Either way, the crockpot is not such a bad way to go for a faster pulled pork.
