In heavy base pot, heat oil. Add in cinnamon stick. When oil sizzles, add star aniseed, cloves, bay leaf and jeera. Fry for 30 seconds.
Add onions and fry until golden brown.Add ginger garlic and curry leaves.Add spices except for garam masala.Add meat, salt and cook until half cooked. Oil will surface. Add cabbage and tomatoes. Stir well. Cook on medium heat. Cabbage will have lots of water so do not put in any water.
Cook until meat and cabbage is soft. Sprinkle garam masala on top, stir well and cook for 5 minutes on low heat.Remove from heat, garnish and enjoy.
