In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt and baking powder. Set aside.
Melt chocolate pieces. Add sugar and oil until combined. Add egg and vanilla. Mix well until the fully combined.
Add the flour mixture to chocolate mixture. Mix with hand mixer until a smooth batter forms. Cover the bowl with lid.
Refrigerate for 3 or so hours. You can even keep it overnight. The batter should become hard to form small balls easily.
When you feel the dough is hard enough, take it out of the refrigerator.
Preheat the oven to 350F degree. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
Form dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in icing sugar so that they are covered fully. Place on baking sheet, about an inch apart.
Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
Transfer to cooling rack for 10 minutes. Enjoy these chewy chocolate crinkles.
