Combine soy sauce, white wine, garlic, sugar, ginger and honey. Stir well and make sure honey is thoroughly incorporated into the mixture.
Slice the steak in very thin strips, making sure to cut away from yourself. Slice from the top of the meat, not the sides and against the grain.
Place the meat in a glass dish with a cover. Pour marinade over meat. Place lid on dish or cover tightly with plastic wrap. Marinate overnight.
When marinating time is up, thread the meat accordion style on bamboo or wooden skewers that have been soaked in water for 10 minutes or so. Prepare your grill or grill under the broiler. Cook on one side for 3 to 5 minutes, turn, cook another 2 to 3 minutes or until done. Remove from the fire. Serve. Compliment these teryiaki strips with some steamed rice or corn on the cob and potato salad or a green salad with a red wine dressing.
