- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 5 apples peeled, cored and sliced
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease pan (2 loaf pans or 1 bundt pan).
Combine the ground cinnamon, 1/4 cup sugar, and apples and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder.
In the bowl of an electric mixer combine oil and 2 cups of the sugar. Mix until combined.
Add eggs and mix until incorporated.
Add orange juice and vanilla and mix until incorporated.Add flour mixture gradually and mix until incorporated. Pour 1/2 of the batter into the prepared pan(s).Top with 1/2 of the apple mixture.Pour the remaining batter over the top and layer the remaining sliced apples.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 70 to 90 minutes.
